New York Mets have had a very busy but also slightly disappointing off-season. They have brought in a number of players but the Mets did not sign the star position player that they wanted. The deal that they had in place for Carlos Correa collapsed due to issues with the medical.
But even without the Correa deal, the Mets have spent a lot of money in order to improve the roster. But that is not the only thing the team has spent money on. They have reportedly spent a lot of money on a special advertisement and fans are not happy about it.

The New York Mets are one of the wealthiest teams in the entirety of MLB. But they may have crossed the line when it comes to spending money. Mets owner Steve Cohen has reportedly bought an advertisement for the upcoming Super Bowl. Super Bowl ads are some of the most expensive and would have cost millions of dollars. The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal shared the news via Twitter.

The New York Mets were extremely active this off-season and spent a lot of money, adding to their already bloated payroll.
