Bryce Harper can dish it out as good as he gets it. The Philadelphia Phillies are facing the Atlanta Braves in a crucial NL match-up. The Division Series will decide who makes it to the Championship Series and ultimately a step closer to the World Series. Although the two teams are tied 1-1 so far, the way Game 3 is going, Philly will have another win on its hand. It will be the Braves’ own fault.

Game 2 of the NLDS saw Harper make a massive blunder in the ninth inning, losing the Phillies’ crucial points. Everyone was furious, most of all the slugger himself. But it was a glorious victory for the Braves when Austin Riley and Michael Harris made a fantastic double play. Orlando Arcia apparently mocked Harper afterward in the clubhouse, too. But not one to take down a beating quietly, the Phillies star is answering back with some bold fashion choices.

Deion Sanders, AKA Coach Prime, has revolutionized Colorado Boulder’s football scene as first-year head coach. The Buffaloes have made it further than anyone expected and much of the credit goes to the two-sport athlete leading them. In addition to being an NFL star in his active days, Sanders was also an MLB player at the same time. One of the teams he played for was the Atlanta Braves.

While looks inspired by Prime Time are nothing new, Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos made a bold statement rocking the legend on their shirts. The Phillies duo showed up to Game 3 of the NLDS, back home at Citizens Bank Park after two games in Atlanta, wearing Coach Prime-inspired outfits.

Not to mention, Harper and Castellanos set the tone of the third game in the third inning with their moonshots. Blasting home run after home run, they used the two-sport legend as a good luck charm for Philly, taking an almost assured victory right from under Atlanta’s nose.

While home runs are one matter, Harper is indicating exactly who he wore that shirt for on the field.

The Braves “Done Messed Around”

When Colorado State’s head coach criticized Sanders, the Colorado Boulder head coach did not take the scorn sitting down. He told his team, “It was just gonna be a good game, but they done messed around and made it personal.” According to FOX Sports, Atlanta’s Orlando Arcia mocked Harper after his game 2 error by repeating, “ha-ha, atta-boy, Harper!” The insult would not stand.

The Phillies’ official page posted Castellanos and Harper’s outfits with the caption, “They done messed around”. As Harper hit home runs in Game 3, he made sure to stare down Arcia each time he went past second base. It left little doubt in mind who the Coach Prime merch was for!
