The New York Yankees are in rebuilding mode. After the utter disaster that was 2023, major changes are in order. From roster reconstruction to front-office shake-ups, the Yankees need to start from the bottom up. As things are going, the Bronx may take inspiration from their cross-town rivals in Flushing, whose manager just made a shocking exit.

Believing ownership to be incapable, the Bronx fanbase has tried to take matters into its own hands. From ‘Fire Cashman Night’ rallies to low attendance rates at Yankee Stadium, there is no lack of inspiration. Even if Sanders doesn’t join the Pinstripes, fans feel Brian Cashman should nevertheless resign from his job.

If healthy players are labeled injured, it allows a club more control over their dealings and protects them from trades to other teams. While nothing has been confirmed yet, MLB will conduct an investigation following an anonymous tip-off, and the Mets will now look for a new leader. The Yankees, meanwhile, need similar changes.

Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman’s Outstayed Welcome

When Jon Heyman of the New York Post noted that Aaron Boone could be a little stricter than how he has usually been, fans couldn’t help but laugh. “Higher-ups will likely just suggest to Boone to instill more discipline (i.e., be tougher),” Heyman wrote.
