Alex Rodriguez Reunites With Tom Brady For A Special Event in Atlantic City

A-Rod and Tom Brady have long been friends, despite being from different sports. Last night, the retired athletes came together to raise money for a special cause. REFORM Alliance invited some big names from different fields in an effort to raise money for criminal justice reform in the country.

The theme was Casino Night, so what better place to hold the event than Atlantic City? Some of the biggest names in attendance alongside Alex Rodriguez and Tom Brady were Kevin Hart, Matthew McConaughey, Jay-Z, and Kim Kardashian. A-Rod posted a bunch of pictures to Instagram, adding star power to a huge night, while also enjoying time at the poker table.

According to Page Six, the aim of the Jay-Z-founded organization was to raise $20 million. But the night was so successful that the numbers went up to $24 million. Attending the event with girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro, the couple dressed sharply in all-black, posing with various celebrities, including of course, the NFL legend. Rodriguez and Brady’s friendship goes way back, but the two now have an even closer connection.

Alex Rodriguez’s oldest daughter is currently a BFA aspirant in musical theater. Her school of choice is an interesting one because the University of Michigan is where Tom Brady went to school. Incidentally, once upon a time, A-Rod’s frenemy Derek Jeter was also planning to go there before switching to full-time baseball.

According to Rodriguez, he asked Brady to have a few words with his daughter about UoM. It was clearly a huge success as Natasha is now a freshman at the college her dad wanted her to go to, pursuing a subject close to her heart.
