Baseball fans won’t leave Aaron Judge alone. The New York Yankees captain is close to superhuman in the unimaginable feats he has achieved in the league. The reigning AL MVP, Judge has made a strong comeback from what seemed to be a season-ending injury. And yet, a sore point in his long list of titles is the lack of a World Series appearance.
Given his status, huge brands naturally want to collaborate with him. Three weeks ago, the Yankees outfielder finally joined a much-coveted roster in the MLB world, signing with NBA icon Michael Jordan‘s eponymous shoe brand, the second Yank after Derek Jeter. But the way he advertised it received endless mockery from fans. And now Tom Brady has also joined the show.

Much like LA’s superstars, Aaron Judge’s playoff history is a bit spotty. So when he tried to recreate an iconic Michael Jordan picture, who boasts multiple NBA Finals rings, Judge invited fan mockery. The pictures showed the duo side by side – Jordan on the right with his multiple adornments, while Judge’s hand on the left was nearly empty. The Yankees captain did wear a single ring on his ring finger but all it showed was a Jumpman figure.

Now, three weeks after the incident, NFL icon Tom Brady has decided to join in with his own impressive collection. Unlike Judge, the former New England Patriots player was surrounded by an excellent team that went on to win six Super Bowls. When Brady switched teams to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he won yet another title in 2021. While the total ranks at seven, the retired QB recently posted a picture of six of them splayed out on a table. There was no caption but a simple heart emoji.
Seems like despite finally retiring from football, Brady is still looking forward to the season’s commencement. He also shared a few posts from the Patriots on his Instagram, seemingly oblivious to the ring fiasco that had occurred a few weeks prior. Incidentally, or rather unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Aaron Judge can make it to the postseason again this year, much less the Fall Classic.
The New York Yankees’ Playoff Chances Disappear
The Bronx Bombers may be cursed. Plagued by one injury after another, the team has tried to bear through 2023 as best as it can but to no avail. The front office even decided to bring in an army of Baby Bombers but the one with the most offensive power, Jasson Dominguez, aka The Martian, is now on the IL, sustaining a UCL tear.

The same injury that derailed Shohei Ohtani’s pitching this season affects the most promising of the young Yankees. With him, all hope of the playoffs is probably gone. Now all that the team only needs to do is finish the regular season with their dignity intact.
