Fox Sports has done something exceptional. They brought Derek Jeter and Patrick Mahomes– an MLB legend and an NFL star in a single frame. If one considers, these two athletes have quite similarities. Like the baseball star, the NFL sensation has also achieved multiple records, including two Super Bowl championships in his early career. So, while talking about his achievements, Mahomes even talked about the driving force that inspires him to improve every day.

From a player to becoming a legend is a challenging journey that requires constant effort at improvement. Along with that, a driving force is needed that constantly pushes the player towards his ambition. Although the 28-year-old QB never talked about these, he opened up with Captain Clutch, calling himself ‘lucky’ to have the accomplishments. He even revealed his simple ambitions that never let him stop.

Patrick Mahomes Shared His Untold Secrets to Jeter

Standing at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, these two legends from two distant fields share their experiences. While the MLB star was the host, the NFL star was replying to his questions. At one point in the interview, Captain Clutch asked him about the driving force behind the 2 Super Bowl Championships and MVP awards. The NFL star replied, “I know how lucky I am. I think the biggest thing I have always thought about I don’t have any regrets why would I not give everything that I have, so I have a chance to win as many Super Bowls as possible; and So, hopefully that eight, nine, ten of rules but if I don’t get another one I’ll say, I gave everything I had to the game.”

Since the Chiefs’ superstar joined the team in 2017, he received some of the greatest achievements. He has 2 Super Bowl Championships, 2x Super Bowl MVPs, 2x NFL MVPs, and several more achievements to flaunt. He currently has the highest passer rating in NFL history with 1,500 passing attempts. In his home ground, the star has 83 career touchdown passes record. He even has the milestone of six touchdown passes in a game twice. This NFL legend’s football career is already marked with golden words as his hard work consistently pays off.

However, during this interview, the Mahomes revealed he never wanted to be a footballer, at least in his childhood. The MLB legends he encountered immensely inspired him, including Jeter. He even imitates their throwing process in his game.

Patrick Mahomes and Derek Jeter shared a past related to the baseball field. While the former’s father used to be a baseball player, the latter is an MLB icon. As a kid, Patrick used to visit MLB clubhouses and grew up with the inspirations of the baseball legends. He himself admitted, “I wanted to be a baseball player. A thousand percent.” Not only that, he even decided to become a Shortstop like Jeter.
