Growing up, he was a huge Rangers fan, courtesy mostly of his father, Pat Mahomes Sr., who was a pitcher for the Lone Stars. Now that the Rangers have made it to the World Series after over a decade, Patrick was expected to be attending the game. However, it seems that Patrick had different plans.

In a surprising turn of events, The Chiefs Quarterback Patrick missed the game. The reason is his commitment to his team. Had he attended the game, he would have surely loved the epic comeback of the Rangers.

Patrick Mahomes prioritizes Monday night football over the World Series

Pat Mahomes has a game on Monday when the Chiefs go against the Denver Broncos, which is where the state of flux lies. Ultimately, he had to choose to train for that game over the World Series.

Well! the match-up on Monday is a big deal, as the rivalry between the Chiefs and Broncos goes deep. Hence, both teams play to get bragging rights over each other. It would have been a tough choice to not be able to witness his childhood team make it to the grandest stage of them all.

Still, Patrick had all of his eyes on the match. He showed as such when he tweeted about the superb game after it had finished. The Quarterbacks’ work commitments might affect his schedule to not being able to visit them WS Game 1, but they do not affect his fandom for the Rangers.

Patrick Mahomes’ father Pat Mahomes was an MLB pitcher. After playing for teams like the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets, he came to his home state team of Texas Rangers in 2001. Patrick himself has been a fan of the Lone Stars since the time he was a child.
