“I didn’t hide my race from Donald Trump. He knew…He would say, ‘You’re like Derek Jeter.’ And I would say, ‘Exactly.’ I never heard him say a disparaging comment towards any race of people,” Kara Young said about Donald trump.

When talking about Derek Jeter, the former Yankees captain was a gift to the game of baseball. Even though he played for the Yankees, Jeter received respect from the fans of every MLB franchise. Such was his aura in baseball.

Jeter led the Yankees to five World Series championships. The last time the Yankees won a championship was under Jeter’s leadership in the 2009 season.

Considering his immense contribution to the game, Major League Baseball honored Jeter with the Hall of Fame induction in 2020.
