2019 was a special year for the couple. It was the year that the former couple got engaged, and the actress also celebrated her 50th birthday. Turning 50 is a huge deal for anyone, and being the doting boyfriend Alex was, he had to throw a big birthday bash for his girlfriend. 

But the big party was not the only thing that Alex did for Jennifer. There was also this red-colored thing that made the actress’ jaw drop with happiness.

The former baseball player gifted his then-girlfriend a 2019 Red 911 Carrera GTS Porsche on her 50th year on Earth. The Porsche was worth somewhere around $140,000. 

The actress definitely was happy and pretty excited to drive it around even though she had not driven a car in 25 years.

“You’re giving me my independence back,” said Jennifer to A-Rod, as she drove the Porsche around the block. According to her, she hadn’t driven in 25 years, but somehow she assured her boyfriend that she knew how to drive it. 

She did make the car turn around in a way that scared Alex. And Alex knew that she hadn’t driven any car in a long time. And so, he offered to become a driver for her.

After the former couple celebrated the actress’ birthday, a couple of months later, Alex got down on one knee and popped the question. She did say “yes” to it, but things don’t always turn out exactly as one would want. Problems started arising, and at one point, it became something that forced them in a way to call off their relationship.
