Baseball is a thrilling sport and MLB helps to globalize its appeal. Lucrative contracts offered by financially sturdy franchises can transform anyone into a royalty overnight. But not everyone gets lured by the mere monetary brawn, and for most, it’s mainly about passion. So, a baseball aspirant from as far as Uganda has recently caught the attention of MLB fans online. 

Even though MLB is predominantly an American league, many foreign players have established legendary reputations over the years. Kasumba Dennis seemingly shares similar dreams. Dennis is a baseball lover from Uganda, who has gradually gained much popularity over the internet. He is primarily a catcher, who can also cover defenses at third base and outfield by his own admission. 

Dennis has been doing some self-promotion through images and videos of his practice sessions. So he has come into the much-needed and deserving public focus. Therefore, people have voiced their opinions about him.

What did the MLB community have to say about Kasumba Dennis? 

If Kasumba Dennis successfully enters the MLB stage someday, he will join a long list of foreign-born players. As it now appears, there is also public funding to help Dennis in coming over to the USA. There is some help on the way to help him attend a college in the USA. 

Jomboy Media network shared a video of Dennis initially posted by MLB insider Hector Gomez, by quoting, “For the love of the game man.”

Jomboy Media then even replied to the post with background information on Dennis by quoting, “This young stud is Ugandan catcher Kasumba Dennis. Give him a follow on Instagram dennisk648. You can donate here to help him chase his dreams of attending a college in the US:” 

One fan wrote, “This man has been posting on our FB group for some time now. I wish the best for this young man.” 

Another fan wrote, “Is he ever going to make it? No. But I love the determination.” 

While showing some concern for Dennis, one fan wrote, “Absolutely love this kid and his passion but man is that bad for his arm.”  

Showing his appreciation for Dennis’ effort, one more wrote: “Respect, same idea as warming up or training with the weighted baseballs I did in high school. Gotta love the drive not everyone has it.” 

The man received several compliments online.

Therefore, only fate will determine whether Dennis gets to live his dream or not.

But until then, Dennis will continue to follow his passion. 

What are the chances for Kasumba Dennis? 

As of now, nothing is certain for Dennis. But foreign-born players like Shohei Ohtani, David Ortiz, Mariano Rivera, Albert Pujols, etc. have proven their talent in MLB. Therefore, Dennis can take inspiration and proceed toward his ultimate goal.
