“You Want to Show a Picture”- When Former NY Yankees Great Derek Jeter Gave a Heart-Warming Description of His Feelings on Parenthood

During his playing days, Derek Jeter remained highly focused on his performances. His high level of concentration helped him achieve towering success throughout his career. He prioritized his profession to the point of keeping the public’s attention on his sporting accomplishments. Jeter strayed away from publicizing his personal life to a large extent. 

Derek Jeter is a baseball stalwart with a stellar career. He began and concluded his MLB ventures with the New York Yankees. Playing as a shortstop, he earned the reputation of being one of the greatest ever. Jeter is remarkably a 14-time All-Star member who won five World Series championships. 

Jeter bid farewell to his beloved sport in 2014. Honoring his dedication and significant contributions, the Yankees administration also retired Jeter’s jersey. Adding another feather to his cap, the MLB administration inducted Jeter into the Hall Of Fame. However, now Jeter lives a much different life in the company of his family.

Derek Jeter married his supermodel wife, Hannah Jeter, in 2016. Since then, his life has taken a different turn. The couple lives happily together as made for each other. They have given birth to three daughters by now. 

Derek and Hannah are parents to Bella Raine, Story Grey, and River Rose. Now there is nothing more Derek enjoys than his parenthood. Being a father has attached a different sort of joy to his life. In other words, he is possibly happier than ever before. 

Derek loves enacting the duties of a responsible father. He is mostly busy with his daughters now. Taking his daughters to school, dance classes, and playing with them at home are what he spends his time doing. Every single moment of those is precious to him.

Derek once reportedly said, “If you don’t have children and people are pulling their phone out and showing you pictures of their kid and you really don’t want to see it, but once you turn into a parent, every opportunity you get, you want to show a picture of your child.” He also added, “Whatever they want to do, I will be supportive of.” 

Post-retirement from the playing days 

After departing from his playing days, Derek became the co-owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins, in 2017. He carried on his administrative duties until his resignation in 2022. Now he is a devoted family man.
