New York Yankees: The most balanced team

With 444 (most) runs scored from the plate, the New York Yankees have conceded only 262 (least) runs this season. They have the best record from both ends in the entire Major League Baseball. So, it is quite understandable why they are the favorite to win the prestigious title this year.

Verducci said the defense has been the main strength for The Bronx Bombers. There is a famous saying, “Offense wins you the game, and defense wins you the title.” And the MLB analyst believes that the Yankees are much better this time.

“It’s an amazing season, he (Aaron Judge) is not the only story. I think the secret sauce of this team is their defense. You talk about the pitching and swinging this stuff. Their bullpen is lights out. You put the ball on the ground against this team, you’re out,” Tom Verducci said to Colin Cowherd.

“The defense of the Yankees went from one of the two worst in baseball last year to one of the best this year. So now, they are a much better postseason team than they have been in the last few years,” Verducci concluded.

Even though the New York Yankees are the most successful team in MLB, they have not won a World Series title in the last 12 years. However, this time Aaron Judge and the company have the best chance to turn the table.
