To the reporter’s dismay, Jeter hit back at the comments in such a way that he took every criticism toward him and got out of the situation with a smile on his face. Even in the toughest of situations, the Captain has never left his calm demeanor.

No one else could have handled it better than Derek Jeter:

The former Yankee has given uncountable interviews throughout his 20-year-long career with the New York Yankees. But in an interview with SI in 2008, when the reporter questioned Jeter’s ability to provide better seats in the ballpark for his parents, Captain Clutch answered smartly.

The reporter said, “I’ve always wondered why they’re not in the front row. You’re Derek Jeter. Can’t you get your parents front-row seats?” Jeter then went on to ask the reporter if he thought his parents did not have good seats. But when the reporter said that it would be good to see them in the front row, that’s when Jeter had to take a dig.
