Per a report going viral on the internet, the scout predicted Derek Jeter’s illustrious future. Notably, Jeter was in his Kalamazoo High School at that time. But his dedication to the sport and remarkable playing style was enough to impress the Yankees’ scout.
Taking to Twitter, Cut4 shared Jeter’s high school scouting report. In which one can see his playing style in detail. The report said he could be a premium-level shortstop in major league games.

“This guy is special. You get excited just watching him warm up. All-Star Potential as SS (shortstop) at ML (major league) level… Ability to play premium position at ML (major league) level,” said the report.

Now, fast forward to 2020, Dick Groch, who scouted Derek Jeter, said he knew the Kalamazoo boy would be an exceptional player. Such was the unique talent Jeter possessed.
“I knew he was gonna be successful. But this definition of success needs to be rewritten,” Groch said to John Niyo of The Detroit News after MLB announced a Hall of Fame induction for the Yankees legend.
