Derek Jeter is all over the internet after the New York Yankees celebrated his Hall of Fame induction on Thursday. The former Yankees captain was in the Bronx after a while. Notably, ever since he retired from baseball, Jeter coming to Yankee Stadium has become a rare sight.

Given the legacy of an MLB clubhouse as big as the New York Yankees, several great plates have donned the Pinstripes. But when it is about Jeter, the Yankees fans have a unique connection with him. And that is the main reason he is one of the most celebrated players in the Yankees’ history.

And as expected, the Yankees fans showered their love on their talisman. However, when Jeter was thanking the Yankees’ owner Hal Steinbrenner and his family, fans started booing. Jeter even calmly tried to urge the Yankees fans, not to boo.

While addressing the Yankees fans, Derek Jeter was full of praise for the Pinstripes organization. Notably, had it not been for the Yankees, Jeter would not be an extraordinary figure in American sports.

The moment he took the name of the Yankees’ owner, Hal Steinbrenner, and GM Brian Cashman, fans in Yankee Stadium started booing. But Jeter was Jeter. He not only urged them to stop the bookings, but he also said that they would better cheer for the Yankees owners.

“Let me tell you something, you’d better cheer, trust me… I see you guys are ready for the playoff push,” Jeter said.

Taking to Twitter, renowned MLB insider Bryan Hoch shared the incident.

Did Jeter hint at his comeback to the Yankees organization?

Earlier this year, Derek Jeter resigned from his position at the Seattle Mariners. And now he said something during his Hall of Fame night that has put the Yankees fans in a dilemma.
