Yermin Mercedes’s MLB career at a glance:

According to SI.com, Yermin Mercedes’s impressive debut with the White Sox in 2020 hadn’t gone unnoticed. He wowed the crowd, starting with an incredible 8-for-8 performance, hitting three doubles and three home runs in just the first 10 games. However, as the season progressed, Yermin’s performance regressed, and he was sent back to the minors.

The Giants took a chance on Yermin, adding him to their major league roster in 2022, but he struggled to maintain his early success at the plate. His lack of defensive versatility and a series of mistakes in limited appearances at first base and in the outfield sealed his fate, and he was hence released.
