The Los Angeles Dodgers eventually lost the NLDS to the Padres in 4 games and will be looking to do better this year. Although they had success in the regular season with 111 wins, they weren’t able to replicate that in the postseason. Furthermore, by losing to the Padres, they achieved something most teams wouldn’t want.

The Los Angeles Dodgers became only the second team to lose like this

The 111-win Dodgers lost to the 89-win Padres in the 2022 NLDS. In doing so, they became only the second team in MLB Playoff history to lose to a team that had 22 fewer wins than them. The last time it was done was in 1906, more than 100 years ago.
