Shohei Ohtani has been an inspiration to many students and pro players alike. His teammates have often displayed respect for his skills, saying that they have learned a lot from him while playing together. This has been the same since his NPB days. This time around, a certain New York Yankees shortstop and the captain cannot help but gush over his admiration for the Unicorn, Shohei Ohtani.

In a recent post made on Twitter, a Yankees slugger Gleyber Torres showed his reverence for Shotime by revealing how his elite hitting techniques are the ultimate goals to achieve. Torres says that he and Aaron Judge often take some time apart to watch Ohtani’s moves and learn from him.

The star shortstop for the Yankees, Gleyber Torres, recently posted a video on Twitter, wherein he was seen practicing his swings in the post while discussing how he likes to swing. He reflected on his form this season, the best moments of it, and what could’ve been done better. He disclosed how he and All-Rise often indulge themselves in observing Shohei Ohtani’s playstyle.

“I was talking to Judge, and we were watching a lot of videos of Ohtani, and we saw how he rotates,” Torres said, with the admiration for Shotime very evident in his eyes. “I need to try to feel what it’s like to get in there,” he continued, referring to Ohtani’s impeccable swinging form on the field. Incidentally, this is not the first time a Yankee has come forward to show their admiration for Ohtani.

The All-Rise himself has nothing but praise to offer Shotime. In his words, “He does a good job; he stays through the baseball and he has power to all fields.” Judge also revealed that nobody would really want to pitch when Shohei Ohtani is behind the bat. For him, Ohtani is nothing short of a ‘generational talent’; the rest of the MLB couldn’t agree more.

Shohei Ohtani is all set to return to the diamond next season as a hitter. He will be giving a temporary rest to the other half of his two-way technique, the pitching side. He is currently recovering from his second serious elbow surgery and has been advised against playing ball with it. Despite the hurdle, fans can expect him to be in full-fledged hitting form soon.
