The New York Yankees Stadium will host the World Series after 15 long years. But will it feel like a party? That’s debatable! The team is coming home with a 2-0 score after losing 4-2 to the LA Dodgers in Game 2. They were not just in their element, and when they started coming to life in the ninth inning, it was too late. Game 1 and Game 2 had one thing in common—Judge was lifeless in both.
The probable AL MVP went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. It seems like Judge will end the post-season like he started it, if the Yankees don’t flip the script soon. Even the former Yankee legend Alex Rodriguez urged the Yankee to do something before it got too late. Rod’s advice is to change the lineup! And now, even fans are finding ways in which they can wake up Judge. The popular choice—follow what Mets fans did for Francisco Lindor.

Francisco Lindor was caught in possibly the worst case of a slump. Nothing helped, and then something amazing happened. As Lindor took his first at-bat on the Mets home stand, the field came alive with loud cheers and claps for him. If one didn’t know better, they would think he slashed a homer, clenched an MVP, or something along the lines. But that was the way fans thought best to support their star, and it worked. The man scored a run in the same game against the Kansas City Royals and gave the Mets a lead. Now Yankee fans want the same!

After the disaster of Game 2 with the LA Dodgers, the Instagram project, the Yankee Report, posted a picture of Judge with the caption——Attention Yankee fans. It urged the fans to not shower booes on their captain but to bring that energy and support to him. “We need to give Aaron Judge a standing ovation for Game 3,” the caption conveyed.
Well, it worked in Lindor’s case, and Judge seems to be ready for Game 3. He wants to perform, as do his other mates, was his message. But in reality, he needs to do better than all of them. He needs to match the vibe of the regular season. Because only a handful of times did a team that lost the edge with 2-0 make a comeback.
Aaron Judge calls himself out after disastrous Game 2 of the World Series
Aaron Judge hasn’t been one to sugarcoat words. He is a veteran, and he knows that things aren’t rowing in terms of his postseason boat. After the loss in Game 2, Judge said, “I need to step up. I think it’s trying to make things happen instead of letting the game come to you.” The captain, further mentioned that he needed to start swinging at strikes.

On Saturday, we saw him strike out three times in four at-bats. It left him visibly upset and frustrated. But even after that, Gleyber Torres and Juan Soto, who were on top of the lineup, gained his appreciation. “Especially with what Gleyber (Torres) and Juan (Soto) are doing at the top of the lineup, I have to back them up. They’re going to keep getting on base. I got to drop them in or move them over.” Well, at least Judge seems to have the morale still!
