The former Yankees captain said “Yeah every day. I mean, you want your teammates to be able to count on you, you want the fanbase, the organization. Um, you know, you just have to be there. And showing up to work every day is important.” He was the type of player to do just that, as he showed up every day and was accountable for his actions.

The Captain always did his best to stay fit and in peak condition. Furthermore, if he was ever in a slump, he’d work hard at fixing whatever was wrong.
