The beginning is the hardest part of any journey. If one can pass that test, the rest of the journey will be easier. This rule is even applicable to the legends. While they became icons for their achievements and contributions, the beginning was equally scary for them. Over the years, many MLB legends have shared their thrilling debut stories, and now Alex Rodriguez has added his name to that list. The former Yankees legend has played 23 MLB seasons and reached the peak of the fame. Still, A-Rod clearly remembers his Fenway Park experience and the knee-shaking feelings that he shared with his fans on a renowned platform.
The Jennifer Hudson Show is back with a long celebrity guest list. Among them, the Episode 13 celebrity was the 14x All-Star former New York Yankees player. While the interview session revolved around multiple topics, it eventually came to A-Rod’s MLB debut. The legend opened up and shared his feelings as an 18-year-old boy.

The interview began with the singing icon calling herself a big fan of A-Rod and asking whether the Yankees icon remembered his first MLB game or not. Without a second’s thought, A-Rod, with a smile, said, “Oh yeah, I was 18, I was 18. I gotta tell you.” However, before he progressed with his experience, Rodriguez asked whether everyone knew about Fenway Park or not.
The Yankees legend started his career with the Seattle Mariners. Almost after a decade, he came to the Bronx Bombers. Unfortunately, his first Major League game was at Fenway Park, the scary territory of the Boston Red Sox. For an 18-year-old rookie player, it was indeed a matter to get scared. Remembering that memory, A-Rod even enacted his nervous and knee-shaking moment of appearing on the MLB field for the first time. Then he continued, “And I went to the Fenway Park, and I swear I got up there, and I was hitting, and my knees were shaking. I was so nervous. I had mom, I had my brother, my sister in the stands.” Later highlighting his journey, he stated, “You know then I went out and played 23 years.”
However, this is not the first time A-Rod remembered his MLB beginning. Previously, he did it when he had attended Oscar with his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

The Oscar ceremony is not for the sports people if they are not connected to the entertainment world. So, naturally, A-Rod never attended it before 2019. As the date of JLo, the former Yankees star went to the ceremony, but before that, he shared his feelings in this vlog. His behind-the-scenes vlog revealed, “I am overwhelmed, you know I feel like I was 18 years old again when I debuted at Fenway Park. I was so nervous.” This comparison shows how much he cherishes his MLB debut moment.
