Alex Rodriguez is hardly a media darling. The star has had a controversial playing career but that has since undergone some change. After his retirement in 2016, Rodriguez has had several ventures pan out that has endeared him to several MLB fans. Making his foray into real estate and sports ownership, the star has also expanded into sportscasting much to the joy of everyone watching. But there’s one thing that remains at the center of Rodriguez’s personal compass.

A-Rod has always been outspoke. An athlete never afraid to address issues head-on. Even after his retirement, A-Rod’s personal life has been a story that has been widely followed. Despite his own relationships, it seems that A-Rod values his relationship with children over all else and that was on full display even on the star’s profile.

Alex Rodriguez Takes to Social Media to Acknowledge Fledgling Relationship

While he may have been recognized as one of the greatest at home plate in the game, A-Rod hasn’t had the smoothest sailing in his personal life. After his split with Cynthia Scurtis in 2008, Rodriguez has gone on too have several high profile relationships. But it appears as though that one has been the most lasting. Rodriguez has on several occasions posted photos with his daughters from that relationship and now he appears to have taken it one step further.

Taking to Instagram, Rodriguez posted a photo with youngest step daughter Cami, with the caption “With the one and only – Cami”. Apart from his two daughter with ex-wife, Scurtis, Natasha and Ella, Rodriguez has on several occasions also featured the 7-year-old who is the daughter of Scurtis and now-husband Angel Nicolas. Despite only being the step father, A-Rod is going the extra mile to ensure a connection with his ex-wife and her step daughter.

Rodriguez has always been a family man. Even through his split with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, the athlete seems to have actively made efforts to maintain a relationship with his children. He even is going as far as to trying to develop a bond with step daughter and youngest of the bunch Cami.

Even the greatest athletes are at the end of the day parents that have to deal with the same problems. For A-Rod, that came up again this summer with his eldest daughter Natasha heading to college. Rodriguez has been quoted as saying, “I can’t believe it. I’m gonna drop her off in a few weeks in Ann Arbor, and I’m both incredibly proud of Natasha but also incredibly sad that my first baby is leaving us”.

Perhaps echoing the sentiments of parents across the country, he added, “And you know, for us dads, they’re always our babies — even if they’re 30 years old.”

Rodriguez certainly seems to be doing his best at raising his children as best he can and we are all here for to witness it.
