Aaron Judge has proven he’s not afraid of the Toronto Blue Jays. The New York Yankees captain has suffered an up-and-down season with two injury list stints. While the hip strain improved quickly, the terrible toe injury caused him to miss two months of the season. In his absence, the Bronx team imploded, unable to hold their own. Then, like a pillar of strength, All-Rise returned, although admittedly not at full strength.

When healthy, Aaron’s a force to be reckoned with. A hit machine on the plate and a powerful patroller of the outfield, Judge went viral when the two teams clashed in May 2023. Accused of cheating, the captain broke the iconic maple leaf logo at Rogers Center in Toronto in answer. Once he gets back his hitting mojo, what damage will he do this time?

AL East rivals the Blue Jays and the Yankees are about to meet for the eighth time this season, and no series has ever been more crucial. In a season that has seen the Bronx Bombers go firmly out of postseason contention, Aaron Judge has worked a miracle. On the other hand, Hogtown has consistently tried to maintain third in the AL East. Needless to say, each team wants to make the playoffs.

Unfortunately for the Yankees, their captain’s injury has not magically disappeared. Aaron Judge received PRPs to speed up his toe healing when off-season surgery was suggested. Given that he was prepared to play in pain, the injury seems to be taking its toll now. While the slugger recently hit his 6th career grand slam, the games surrounding it saw him facing hitting troubles.

The upcoming match-up between Toronto and New York will determine the Wild Card positions for each team. After the Texas Rangers’ recent loss, the Blue Jays have climbed up to the second position. The Pinstripes, shockingly, are somehow already in the fifth because of a late-season rally. But how long can they hold out? Who, ultimately, makes it to October?

While it’s certainly not been easy battling slumps and playing with almost half the roster on the IL, the Yanks have managed somehow. Like a true captain, Aaron Judge is motivating them to keep pushing on. “That’s why we’re here: to go out there and win some games,” he told MLB’s Jake Crouse.

All-Rise firmly believes the current team can make it to the end. “We’re not out of it, and we’re going to keep fighting, especially with this group. Like they’ve shown us this whole road trip, it doesn’t matter if we’re down to our last out, we’ve still got a chance, and we’re going to go out there and do our best.”
