During an interview with ESPN to discuss the documentary, he spoke about finally entering social media and many other things. Marking in the calendar, 31st May 2022, was the day when Hall of Famer Derek Jeter entered into social media.?

The interviewer, Hannah Storm, asked, “What took you so long?” To which Jeter replied, “I tried as much as I possibly could to maintain a certain sense of privacy throughout my career, which was needed.”? ? ??

After getting retired in 2014, Jeter with Jaymee Messler launched, ‘The Player’s Tribune’ to give players the platform to tell their stories. Then he went down to Miami as the CEO of Miami Marlins, where he was busy with work.

After that, people constantly asked him to come on social media, that it was about time, and so on. Jeter was always giving people reasons for not joining social media and then eventually, said, “I ran out of excuses.”

He was told by multiple people to divert his mind to something else. This was because he won’t be able to play for the Yankees. But he worked hard to achieve that dream, and he did it.?
