The race for AL Most Valuable Player is about to end, and fans have already chosen their sides. A battle (online) is going on as well. Fans of Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani are becoming more and more ruthless with each passing day. To say that the tweets are becoming more ruthless would be a small thing.

Both the players have done exceptionally well this season, and therefore, the MVP race is down to these two players. With every second, not only this debate is getting more and more fierce, but it is also getting entertaining for those who are not fans of either Judge or Ohtani.
How have Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani played this year?
In January this year, Yankees star Aaron Judge predicted to hit 50 home runs for the second time. He fulfilled that prediction even before August ended. And now, All Rise has hit 57 and is just four home runs away to reach AL’s most home runs record by Roger Maris.
Maris made this record while wearing the Pinstripes in 1961. And so Judge is on the pace to hit more than 61 wearing the Pinstripes.
With 34 home runs, 88 RBI, and .889 OPS, Ohtani is doing pretty well from either side of the ball. He won MVP last year and is on top of becoming this year’s MVP as well.
How is fans’ debate over Ohtani and Judge going?
One of them is Hank Aaron’s award winner and the other is MVP as well as CY Young.
One is Hank Aaron award personified, the other one is a contender for both MVP and CY YOUNG.

This user says the debate is because Yankees haters want one!
Only reason there is a debate is because Yankee haters want a debate

Well, he says, Yankee fans can cry.
It’s Ohtani because he has 34 HRs and a 2.55 ERA in 141 innings, no other argument. Yankee fans can cry

This one says, does Judge pitches like Ohtani?
Does Judge Pitch?

Judge is only a designated hitter?
Aaron Judge is a DH. Sure he’s having a historical run, but it’s not “Most Valuable Hitter” – it’s most valuable player. And he does not play a field position. Othani does, and hits equally as well.

Bro plays the outfield are you good? .265 hitting is not good lol

Is it true that the reason the Yankees are making playoffs is because of Judge?
I hate the “but can he pitch” argument. Look at everything Judge lead in, pretty much everything. Also Yankees are not making the playoffs without him. If that doesn’t scream MVP. I don’t know what does.

There is no debate?
There is no debate. NONE
Judge's numbers are better, this isn't a year where there's Trout with ridiculous WAR and no other obvious recipient, Judge is having an historic season and is carrying a playoff team.

No debate. Stop it.

Is Judge only chasing records?
Judge is chasing records, which is cool.
Shohei makes a new record every time he steps on the field

A historical season?
Convoluted reasoning, like fitting a square where a circle should be.
Ohtani- Good season
Judge- Historical seasonPeople will forget how Ohtani did in’22
Judge’s season will be remembered- and unmatched- for decades.

Uhhh. You do know that they both are having historical seasons right? Ohtani isn't just having a "good season". He's done what no one has ever done before as a two-way player this season and it's not over yet. You can't downplay Ohtani cause you're a Yankees fan.

Ohtani is a DH on most days where judge is a CF. Judge’s offensive stats are also far superior at a premier defensive position. Ohtani being a stud pitcher is huge, but ALL quantitative measures say judge is more valuable…this year…overall. That’s the MVP.
