CLEVELAND, OHIO – OCTOBER 16: Aaron Judge #99 of the New York Yankees (Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images)
The New York Yankees fell short of the World Series in 2022, losing in the ALCS. This offseason, they will be working hard to add pieces to the team to not let it happen again. Add to that the fact that Aaron Judge is a free agent and the Yanks are looking at a very busy offseason. The Yankees have been linked with several players through trade rumors and free agency speculation. And the latest rumor to replace Judge has the Yankees fans on the edge.

It will be interesting to see how the Yankees’ roster looks for the 2023 MLB season. Notably, the Bronx Bombers are now reportedly interested in trading for this All-Star outfielder from the NL.
The New York Yankees are interested in trading for Bryan Reynolds
According to the latest reports, the Yankees are interested in trading for Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds. In a tweet, Jason Mackey of the Post Gazette Sports said “First tidbit from the lobby, per an industry source, is that the Yankees are “very much” in on Bryan Reynolds. “They’re on it.”… Not exactly breaking news that there’s significant interest in the Pirates outfielder.”

The Yankees are looking to bolster their roster and make a run at the World Series this year. And Reynolds may just be the player that they need to get to that next level. Reynolds has played four seasons with the Pirates and is a 1-time All-Star.
Reynolds is an outfield prospect that many teams will be trying to trade for. And the Yankees would do well to bring him in. However, the Pinstripes fans have shown mixed reactions to the possibility of a trade.
Yankees have “been in” on every major FA or potentially available player in a trade for the last decade. Cashman will float the narrative to placate the fan base. He will then trade for bring in another project or bargain base veteran. Prove me wrong.

Interesting. Benintendi, who would only cost money and is a better fit is out there. I have a hard time believing they will pony up their top prospects for Reynolds. Playing LF in Yankee Stadium is nothing like playing LF in Pittsburgh (i know he is a CF). I’d pass on him.

Yeah y’all know Judge ain’t coming back lol

Reynolds will cost top prospects but the Yankees would save a ton of $ on an OF and be able to throw it at Rodon. Hope this hold up true.

That makes a lot of sense. We don’t need a 31 years old guy asking for $300M.

Lets go! We need him!!!!

The Yankees are interested in Reynolds which will push Benni away to sign with another and someone will out bid the Yanks for Reynolds. Strikeout on both. Lol

Honestly, I feel like Reynolds is overated. If you can get him cheap sure, but I wouldn't trade any of the top prospects for him. Rather sign Nimmo or Benintendi in that case.

Given that Judge is yet to make a decision on his future, the Yankees would be willing to make the deal happen. But it’ll be difficult to get the Pirates to trade their star outfielder unless the package is big.

Additionally, it remains to be seen whether Judge will sign an extension. And what the Yanks will do in case he leaves in free agency? It’s been a rather hectic free agency so far for the fans and it will only get worse as Spring Training gets closer.
Is Reynolds a replacement for Judge?
Although there is no news on where Judge is going to sign, the Reynolds trade rumors have worried fans. Many think that he is a replacement and that Judge is going to be leaving in free agency.
