Yainer Diaz, who hit his first home run, would have expected big applause from his teammates in the dugout. But his teammates had other plans. They gave him the silent treatment as if he were a rookie. Though taking this gesture light-heartedly, Diaz celebrated it with hand bumps with his teammates. Though all the players broke the silence and congratulated the player moments later.

The announcers also laughed about the incident as they heard conversing, “Change up. Oh, silent treatment. Silent treatment for his first majorly Homer. Come on, first-ever, he’s still. Got Oh, that was great. There was no love being.” Diaz made his debut for the Astros last year. He has played 22 games till now and has been at bat 54 times. The player has claimed six runs at an average of 0.204. Diaz will look to add more to his stats in the coming games.

The game, meanwhile, saw a fightback from the White Sox and Astros had a close escape. For the White Sox, Louis Robert Jr. scored the maximum runs. His contribution came in the sixth innings of the game, but his effort was not enough. The Astros maintained their lead until the end to claim the series 2-1.
