Oakland Athletics’ “Reverse Boycott” has taken a new turn in the story. As the move of Oakland Athletics progresses with every second that passes, many people have stood up to contradict their decision. But this time, it is none other than the 2x Oscar winner, Hollywood icon Tom Hanks.

Not long ago, the news of a possum living in the Athletics Coliseum came up. Shortly after that, the management announced that the A’s would be moving to Las Vegas, Nevada. Since that moment, fans have been against this motion and trying their best to stop the move. And now, they have Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks, vouching for them, who blatantly slammed the Athletics management about the move.

The NFL team, Las Vegas Raiders, initially originated from Oakland, California, in the 1960s, eventually moved to Vegas, and the team was renamed. Such was the case with NBA’s Golden State Warriors when it moved from Oakland to San Francisco. Now, if the MLB team Athletics does move to Vegas and gets renamed, it will be the third time something like this is happening in Oakland. And Oakland-born Hollywood icon Tom Hanks is indeed against it.?

Nevada passed a law for the move!

Most recently, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo signed a bill pledging $380 million of the proposed $1.5 billion to go toward A’s move to Vegas. Now, this matter is in the hands of Major League Baseball, to decide if the A’s would relocate or not.?

This bill signed by Lombardo was a major victory for A’s owner John Fisher amid the ongoing protests against his decision to relocate the franchise. Fans have been continuously saying that it isn’t the fans who are the problem but the management. Hence, Fisher badly needs to sell the team instead of relocating.?
