WWE superstar Rey Mysterio recently won over baseball fans in an iconic way. With every season that commences, Major League Baseball comes up with tricks on its sleeve. Yes! the Mexico Series is back for the sixth time in MLB’s history. This year, the doubleheader weekend series is happening between the National League’s San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. Game 1 of the series is already done, with the Padres taking the win with a giant celebration afterward in the clubhouse. 

For those unversed, Mysterio is a Mexican-American wrestler currently signed to WWE and is a huge baseball fan. Hence, being a Latino himself, he could not stop himself from attending the two-game series happening in Mexico. However, as he went there, he brought countless baseball fans with him. 

How did Rey Mysterio appear in the Mexico series?

Dressed up in the colors of the baseball team, San Diego Padres, Mysterio reached Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium on Saturday. As he cheered for the Padres, he did not forget to flaunt his iconic Lucha Libre mask, which he also gifted to the Padres’ players.

Notably, to share his excitement for the Mexico City series game 1, Mysterio took to his Instagram handle to share it with his fans. He posted two reels of himself, in one of which he showed the city-connect specially designed glove. With this reel, he wrote, “Shoutout to the @padres, this is amazing! Let’s go Pads!!! #booyaka #619.” 

In the other reel, the WWE fighter could be seen showing off his iconic Lucha mask. The mask had Rey and 619 sewn into the back of it. Beside this reel, Mysterio wrote, “(translated in English) The mask that shone today @padres at the #YoAmoElBeis game in Mexico City 🇲🇽🔥 @619iamlucha #MexicoCitySeries.” 

Notably, Mysterio managed to make both baseball and WWE fans excited about this series as much as he is for the same. 

Hence, while showing their excitement, countless of them commented on both reels.

They wrote:
