In the post captioned, “Get up, get going, it’s never too late!”, he explained how folks like Henry Ford, Warren Buffett, Michael Bloomberg, and even Colonel Sanders got their first taste of success at a later age than the society expects. 

The fact that these folks displayed relentless resilience in moving ahead despite setbacks is what inspired Rodriguez as well. Not only did he name them but also gave a backstory about how they made it big despite being under the radar for a substantial part of their lives. 

Anecdotes such as that of Henry Ford, who launched the T-model at the age of 45; Warren Buffet, who made 99% of his net worth after his 50th birthday; Colonel Sanders, who opened his first Kentucky Fried Chicken at the age of 35, pushed the 14x All Star to say, “Get up, get going, never give up, it’s never too late!” But do not feel surprised, this is not the first time Rodriguez has shared words of wisdom.

As a co-parent of Natasha and Ella Rodriguez, he has never left a single stone unturned to shower his kids with wisdom. He even urges parents to talk transparently with their kids about their past mistakes so that when kids make mistakes, they have the maturity to handle it. As reported by CNBC, A-Rod also shared, “If his daughters never messed up, he’d worry ‘they’re not pushing hard enough.’” 

He is a believer that kids “have to have margin for error. You just hope that those mistakes, [your kids] can stop, pivot and learn from them.” That said, one thing is loud and clear.
