Being a prolific business person comes with its own perks. For instance, former baseball player and business mogul Alex Rodriguez once got a chance to become a shark for a few episodes of Shark Tank back in the 2017-18 season.

Three years ago, the athlete joined Big Cat for a seven episodes podcast series. That podcast invited various guests, including Rodriguez’s ex-fiance Jennifer Lopez and his co-shark, Barbara Corcoran.

Making their own path, both Barbara and Alex have achieved greater heights in success. They fought their battles and worked their way up to reach where they are now. Both their journeys from top to bottom are nothing but inspiring for others. Barbara once shared her part of the story when she came as a guest speaker on short podcast series of A-Rods.

How did Barbara relate to Alex Rodriguez?

Daniel Katz, aka Big Cat, asked Corcoran about her background that nobody knew about her. When he asked her about ever having a feeling of becoming an entrepreneur, then she told her story about being a really bad student in school.

Jokingly she said“I was a straight F student. They just pushed me through that system to get rid of me.” But apart from puns, the businesswoman also talked about what helped her become who she is today. Knowing that she was a terrible student and had to have her first job at the mere age of 11, one thing that always kept her going was that people always liked her.

Not only this, but she enjoyed every single job that she ever had. She liked to stay on her feet and liked people. But she never thought that that would help her at all in business. And today, she has a net worth of $100 million.

How was Alex’s childhood tough?

When Alex was only ten years old, his father left the family. His mother then used to work as a waitress to make ends meet. It was not easy to get by, but his mother had worked through it.
