Aaron Judge's giant shoes for Caitlin Clark—an epic fail or a hilarious win?

Aaron Judge’s size has always been a topic of discussion. Despite being a generational hitter and a huge star, most people who meet him end up talking about his height. It isn’t surprising, after all at 6’7’’ Judge is taller than most baseball players. So one can understand why even the WNBA star Caitlin Clark was surprised by the hugeness of All Rise. But that doesn’t stop her from making a few jokes when receiving a gift from him.

Two days ago, Clark visited the Yankee Stadium. Naturally, that trip ended up becoming a huge hit among the fans. To see possibly the biggest WNBA star wearing the pinstripes was a great experience. But then, things had just started. Aaron Judge decided to make things even better for Clark by gifting her his cleats. Only they were a bit too big for the basketball star.

“That’s sick, that’s awesome. I appreciate it. Thank you,” Caitlin Clark said to Aaron Judge. “I don’t know if they’ll fit anywhere yet. Half my foot will go in there”, she finished. Judge gave out a big laugh after hearing her words. Certainly, it was obvious when one looked at the cleats. Despite being a basketball player, Clark had remarked that Judge almost towered her. So naturally those cleats too must have been too big. So what will she do with those shoes?

Well! Clark remarked in the video that she’ll have to “put them in a case.” Perhaps she’ll try to showcase them somewhere. Whatever the case, Clark might not be able to wear those cleats. It once again showed how Aaron Judge’s height is big even for basketball players. Earlier New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson too had remarked on how he was surprised by looking at the Yankees captain’s height.

How Aaron Judge’s height continues to mesmerize athletes

Before Caitlin Clark, Jalen Brunson too had visited the New York Yankees’ clubhouse. While he took part in a wholesome shirt exchange with Anthony Volpe, Brunson also met Aaron Judge. So when Brunson became the Knicks captain, he was asked about his experience of meeting All Rise and what did he learn from it. “Maybe (don’t) stand so close to (him) in this time,” Brunson said.

Have an interesting take?

“It looks like we should switch professions,” Brunson finished. Notably, the Knicks star is 6’2” which means he’s 5 inches smaller than Judge. Certainly, that must have been a confusing experience for Brunson. However, it was also a learning one. He revealed how Judge’s leadership skills and general hardworking tendencies were something that he’d like to emulate. In his words, Aaron Judge is a “hard worker” who “puts the team first.” That is something that Brunson wants to do too.

So as it stands, Aaron Judge’s height has bamboozled Caitlin Clark and Jalen Brunson. How many more basketball players can find themselves on the receiving end of this experience? Let us know in the comments below.
