Since his debut in the 2018 season, Shohei Ohtani has captivated fans with an awe-inspiring performance at the plate. Similarly, this Los Angeles Angels superstar took center stage and single-handedly guided his team against the Texas Rangers this Monday night. Despite Rangers leading the game with a 5-1 after three innings, Los Angeles mounted a comeback led by Ohtani.

Although the LA Angles team stormed back with only three runs in the 5th innings, the two-way phenom’s mighty swing propelled the Angels to a memorable victory.

A pivotal home run by Ohtani ignited the Angels’ path to triumph

Shohei’s solo homer in the seventh inning not only extended his hitting streak to nine games but also leveled up the score to 5-5. The two-run shot in the 12th innings against the fifth Texas pitcher, Cole Ragans (2-3), was exceptional. Los Angeles Angels two-way player’s 20th homer of the season.

Rising to the occasion, Talkin’ Baseball, the baseball fan club, took to their Twitter and tweeted, “SHOHEI BREAKS THE TIE WITH HIS SECOND HOMER TONIGHT,” with a video of Ohtani taking a go-ahead 2-run home run which is 20th HR and 50th RBI of the season.

Although Ohtani hasn’t secured a World Championship in his name yet, some fans are considering him the best player after he broke the ties with his remarkable home run.

 

The 28-year-old’s consistent performance through the seasons has led his fans to say that he is one of the best players and has overcome his trail with Aaron Judge.

Shohei Ohtani outshines Aaron Judge

Rangers took a banger start with a 5-1 lead. However, with a record of 18 home runs and 46 runs batted in, Ohtani entered the Monday batting of the game. After which, the go-ahead 2-run home run of Ohtani in the 12th innings reinvented the wheel.

Earlier, the 28-year-old trailed Aaron Judge, the power hitter of the New York Yankees, by a single home run for the AL lead. However, after this tremendous 9-6 victory, he surpassed the Yankees captain. Not only this, he now stands only two homers behind Pete Alonso, the first baseman for the New York Mets, for the overall lead in the majors.

Following the victory at Arlington, Texas, the Angles have scored 37-31, placing them just 5 ½ games behind the Rangers in the AL West. Regarding seasons won by each team, LA Angeles has seven out of its last eight, whereas Rangers have a disappointing loss at four out of the previous five, including the one held this Monday.
