According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, Boston is reportedly not wasting any time, posted @TalkinBaseball_ on X (formerly Twitter). They have already discussed a potential move with the agent of free agent pitcher Jordan Montgomery. The tweet said, ?The Red Sox have spoken with free agent Jordan Montgomery’s agent, per @jonmorosi?. Why wouldn? they? For the World Series winners, he has made 11 starts during the regular season and has a 2.79 ERA. Monty has been linked with the BoSox at multiple occasions.?

Montgomery has often been mentioned as a potential fit for the Red Sox. Prior to the St. Louis Cardinals trading him to the Texas Rangers in the 2023 season, he even came up as a trade candidate and as a potential free agent in recent weeks. With that, it is up to the Red Sox now to bag this sought-after free agent, given his history.?

After playing for the New York Yankees for the initial five and above years of his career he compiled a career 3.68 ERA in seven seasons. Additionally, he has a wealth of experience in the American League East. Although Montgomery will be in high demand, the Red Sox might just be able to acquire their man.?
