While Opening Day for the 2023 season was just a week away, one Philadelphia Phillies star suffered a grave injury to his knee during a spring training game. Recently, when the Phillies played against the Detroit Tigers, first baseman Rhys Hoskins fell to a heap while chasing a ground ball and tore his ACL.
Hours after the worst fears came true for the Phillies, the team announced that the slugger would now require surgery for the same and would probably miss most of the regular season because of it. After his injury, another update about the player’s surgery has the fans praying for a speedy recovery of their player.

The Twitter handle of the Phillies recently updated that Rhys Hoskins will undergo left ACL reconstruction surgery on Thursday, March 30. For those unversed, it is also the opening day of Major League Baseball’s regular season of 2023. And since Hoskins will be having his surgery on the same day, there’s a good chance that by missing the opening day while playing, he will miss watching the opening day as well.

Phillies’ last game turned into a game of mockery!

NL’s Philadelphia Phillies played against the Toronto Blue Jays for their last spring training game. Even though the Phillies won the game by 5-2, the game’s highlight was their catcher, J. T. Realmuto’s ejection.
What was a slight miscommunication between the umpire and Realmuto; the catcher dropped his glove as the ump tried to hand him the ball.
The umpire, after feeling heavily embarrassed, then ejected one of the most well-respected catchers in the game of baseball. And then, because of ejecting Realmuto for apparently no reason, the umpire got brutally bashed by baseball fans.
