Francisco Lindor is a hardcore player on the mound. But off the field, he is a softie! He is nothing but a devoted husband and a doting father. This past weekend, Lindor and his wife Katia welcomed their third child—a healthy and beautiful baby boy. The name—Koa. Unique isn’t it? With this, a new chapter of their life begins.

Katia is already a mother, but of two daughters, Kalina Zoe and Amapola Chloe. And now the family seems complete with a baby boy. She took to Instagram to share her journey and also reflect on the beauty of motherhood. She shared how this birth for her was different—it was not just the birth of her first son, but also the last time she would be experiencing childbirth.

So in a fitting and emotional post, Katia shared her feelings on closing this chapter of her life. “3.30.2025 — The last time. The final home birth. A chapter closing. And with it comes the bittersweetness of it all—the deep gratitude for having had this sacred experience three times and the quiet relief in knowing this part of my journey is complete.”

For those who don’t know, home births are done with the guidance of a midwife and a team. The entire process is preferred by those, who don’t want to go through the anxiety of maybe going to a hospital. Katia has relied on home births for three of her pregnancies. And for her, each of the times she gave birth, she learned a little more about her strength and resilience. And of course love. She had her husband by her side.

Francisco Lindor was truly by her side, each and every minute. Katia at first posted several images of her in labor, surrounded by the team of midwives, and their newborn next to the umbilical cord. Even a snapshot of Francisco Lindor as he smiled with joy as he held his son. She even shared a video showing the same—and it’s heartwarming. Love poured in from all the fans as they watched their star’s incredible parenthood journey. Meanwhile Katia even ensured to give flowers to her birthing team, A Positive Beginning Midwifery, who helped her and her son get through the process safely. “My 3rd home birth with the most incredible team,” she wrote, showering them with gratitude and appreciation.

For the Lindors, it was not the homecoming of a new member but a celebration. Katia best put it, “ I stand here, in awe of it all. In awe of birth. In awe of motherhood. In awe of the woman I have become. And above all else, profoundly grateful—to God and to my support system for holding me, for lifting me, for standing by my side through it all.Now Lindor’s home will be more filled with love. This might be the most meaningful home run of his life— holding his son and standing beside his wife. But even as he soaks in the precious family moments, the baseball diamond is never far from his mind.
