Although Duran did not play exactly like Garcia, but had a fairly good 2023 season. He averaged 0.276 with 14 HRs and 46 RBIs to his credit, with an OPS of 0.768. However, the factor that went against him was his form at the end of the league stage.

It put him on the wrong side of the road, and though he has done decent since joining, fans still felt they would miss Garcia. They also did not show any indication of promise towards the recent addition.
