Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez used to be one of the fittest couples in the celebrity realm. For JLo, the sign of times was (and still is) virtually non-existent. The same can be said for A-Rod as well. In 2019, Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 50th birthday and a few days later, Alex Rodriguez celebrated his 44th birthday. Both had a hectic schedule but still made time to throw each other birthday bashes. They were both seen having a great time at their respective parties.

Prior to the main celebrations, A-Rod’s birthday festivities began on July 26 with a special surprise from Jennifer during one of her performances. The two then danced the night away at A-Rod’s 44th birthday bash.

A-Rod’s 2019 birthday bash was one to remember

After a grand celebration of her 50th birthday, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez continued their revelry with a more intimate party at a Miami estate, for A-Rod’s 44th birthday.

The former baseball superstar threw a bash for close to 100 of his friends, and took the microphone to jokingly declare that Lopez, “Doesn’t know anything about this Miami stuff.” The couple was then seen dancing and partying together, with guests even breaking into chants of “Go A-Rod!”

The next day, however, Rodriguez admitted on Instagram to being sore from all the dancing, quipping that he doesn’t know how Lopez does it. He also expressed his bemusement at getting older. His post-dancing fatigue in his Instagram caption, “I am so sore from one night of dancing, I don’t know how Jennifer does it! Who else hates getting old?!”

Jennifer once stopped her concert to surprise Alex Rodriguez 

According to PopSugar.com, A-Rod’s 44th birthday celebration was kicked off in grand style a few days before the big day. Jennifer Lopez, during her Miami tour stop, paused the concert to bring her then-partner on stage where the massive crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to him. 

She shared the video of the touching moment on Instagram, expressing her love and appreciation for him. She wrote, “Celebrating you today and every day my love… you are one of a kind, my hurricane, and my calm in the middle of the storm… thank you for being such a beautiful light in my life… wishing you the most beautiful birthday ever!!! Happy Birthday 13!!!”

The surprise didn’t end there. JLo made another appearance on his live ESPN set, along with his daughters Natasha and Ella, to surprise him with a birthday cake. It was indeed an emotional and heartfelt birthday celebration for A-Rod.
