Both the National League and the American League have some memorable moments with records broken and created. After a fantastic Friday, this cycle continued on Saturday, with another Philadelphia star, Kyle Schwarber, joining the record books with Jose Altuve leading the race. As the Arizona Diamondbacks were able to uncover some late-game spells in Games 3 and 4, the Philadelphia Phillies head into Game 5 of the series facing a situation that many didn’t expect.
Given that the series is still on, every moment matters. Especially when a team has lost the series lead in the last ditch. Despite the loss, Phillies star Kyle Schwarber hit the most home runs as a left-handed batter in MLB postseason history, passing Reggie Jackson, who had 18. The Phillies’ slugger, after putting his name in the record books in Game 4 of the NLCS, did it once again this time to give the team a solid lead with a historical effort.

After a disheartening loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks in game 4, even after dominating the game for most of the part, the Phillies were compelled to oversee their rivals muster up clutch skits. It happened after the Snakes cut the deficit by scoring and winning it in the last moment. They led 5-2 in the seventh inning; how could the Phillies not take Game 5 lightly?
Kyle Schwarber, keeping this in mind, scored a home run to take the lead to 4 runs in game five. It was big, and MLB’s official account on Twitter focused on the same. They shared a post that read, “The Legend of Kyle Schwarber.“

Notably with this, Schwarber also created a home run record in the NCLS history. He has now 11 homers to his name, one more than the legendary Albert Pujols. Talkin Baseball shared a post on this occasion with the caption, “Schwarber cementing himself as one of the best postseason power hitters ever,”

Also with this, Kyle has now 20 Home Runs in the post season career and is tied on with the legendary Derek Jeter. However, his race with the Jose Altuve is still intact with the 26 Home Runs and can get another element if the two face each other in 2022 World Series Repeat.
