But they stand in the 2nd position with 45 awards to their name. The one topping the list is the Cardinals with 53. The Man With the Most Number of Gold Gloves
When it comes to baseball players who have won the most Gold Glove awards, there is an obvious winner. Greg Maddux has won the Gold Glove on an incredible 18 occasions while playing pitcher. He won 13 consecutive awards from 1990 to 2002, all in the National League. Maddux made his first comeback in 1990, starting a 13-year streak during which he won the National League’s pitchers Gold Glove Award for which is prominently known today.

The former Los Angeles Dodgers player had complete control over the award, making it almost impossible for many other gifted players to even come close to it. There was one exception, though. There was only one other man who was a close contender at that level, Brooks Robinson. He won the Gold Glove 16 times while playing third base, and is known as the only player who can compete with Maddux. He reigned with these awards between 1960 to 1975.
