Home/MLB

Imagine it’s the dead of the night, and you find yourself standing in the middle of a vast, empty ballpark. With no one around, one can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and freedom. You start to run, your footsteps echoing across the field as you sprint toward the home plate. It’s a dream come true, even if the security will probably be on your trails in a matter of minutes. But what if there was a way to experience the thrill of an empty ballpark at night without the risk of getting caught? Imagine having an apartment that overlooks the entire stadium, giving an unparalleled view of every game, every home run, and every moment of greatness.

In recent years, ballparks have become the centerpiece of new real estate development, and it’s not hard to see why. The allure of being able to watch a favorite team from the comfort of one’s own balcony is simply irresistible. And with a surfaced video on Twitter showing an apartment with the perfect view, it’s no wonder baseball fans everywhere are going crazy.

How did MLB fans react to the view from the apartment?

The video showcases an extensive tour of the apartment, and then it reaches its highlight. As the camera panned out to reveal the sweeping view, it was like a dream come true for any die-hard baseball fan. The Dudy Noble Field at Mississippi State University in Starkville looked like a pristine emerald sea, with the towering floodlights shining like sentinels guarding the hallowed ground.

As with any internet post, opinions were divided among the fans. Some were left disappointed that it wasn’t an MLB ballpark, while others didn’t care about the level of play, as long as it was baseball. After all, as one true baseball fan pointed out, it’s the game, not the ballpark, that truly matters.

But others were ready to sign the lease, the apartment’s exquisite view too tantalizing to pass up.

Of course, there were also concerns raised about the potential noise levels. After all, with a stadium right outside the window, it’s hard to imagine a quiet night in. But for those who live and breathe baseball, the sound of the crowd roaring is just another symphony to be enjoyed.

Why is the reinvented ballpark called ‘The Dude’?

How did a stadium end with such a unique name? Well, it turns out that it’s been quite the journey for this ballpark. According to cdispatch.com, over the years, ‘The Dude’ has gone by many names, from the grand “The Carnegie Hall of College Baseball” to a more straightforward “Dudy Noble Field.” But none of these stuck quite like “The Dude.”

It wasn’t until the massive $68 million renovation that took place in 2019 that name finally solidified. With the renovation came the name! The apartment is a part of the large concourse that wraps around the ballpark, and the view is a true dream.
