Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees legend, was once going to tie the knot. When his first marriage didn’t work out, he was linked to many women over the years. But when the former shortstop started dating singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, things seemed to be going extremely well. But then the pandemic, as for most of us, ruined their wedding plans. The couple ultimately broke up in 2021 with no hopes of reconciliation. Still, the four years they were together gave them lasting memories, not to mention common friends.

J-Lo is a mainstay in Hollywood as both a singer and actor and often attends award ceremonies for both music and films. During 2017-2021, she attended events with Rodriguez, and at one of them, the couple got photographed with Academy Award-nominated actor Jamie Foxx.

The occasion was the Screen Actor Guild Awards and the year was 2020. To anyone on the outside, the couple was still going strong. As A-Rod and J-Lo made it to the red carpet, they ran into actor Jamie Foxx. As it so happens, The Amazing Spider-Man actor is actually friends with both Rodriguez and Lopez.

Page Six once reported that Foxx was holding a retirement party for the former Yankee back in 2016. Apparently, there were set to be surprise performances but it was yet to be announced which of his teammates would attend.

It was recently reported that Foxx has been hospitalized due to a medical complication. In fact, he has been hospitalized for over a month but no details have been shared. The Ray actor is notoriously private but he did offer thanks to his fans’ prayers recently. Even Lopez sent her best wishes for the actor’s quick recovery.

Lopez and Foxx had an interesting first meeting

Both actors are big names in the American film industry and have worked in some major films. In fact, they have also worked together. Back in 1990, the comedy show In Living Color premiered and the duo starred in it. Foxx once recounted what he had said to J-Lo upon first meeting her, “I remember seeing her, and I say to her, ‘Hey, I have a girlfriend, I’m not hitting on you, but you’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.'”
