After a defeat in the series opener, the New York Yankees came back with a bang in the last two games and clinched the series against the in-form San Diego Padres. Talking about the third game, it was a complete batting dominance from the Yanks that guaranteed them the win. But everything was not good for the hosts initially in the game, especially with their fielding. A comedy of error caught everyone’s eye.

Meanwhile, getting over this moment, the Yankees did well in the third innings of the game. They took Padres pitchers head-on to send the balls flying to earn seven runs in a single inning. This performance gave the Yankees’ defense a buffer, and with a helping hand from the offense at the end, the Yankees took the win with a score of 10-7.

Aaron Judge again shined for his team. The 2022 AL MVP scored two runs and an HR to finish with an average of 0.291. Apart from Judge, Harrison Bader had another solid game. His involvement in four runs helped the team immensely. For the Padres, Ha- Seong Kin scored three runs. The contribution from other players did not come enough for the win.

Overall, it was a tough day for pitchers as they saw four home runs during the game. Gerrit Cole saw him hit home runs twice, and his involvement in the poor fielding made the day more difficult for him.
