The post-season is about to start, and it is time for the teams to gear up all their strength for winning the World Series. That does not mean the games before the post-season won’t be entertaining. Sunday night’s Cardinals game against the Pittsburgh Pirates made sure to give the fans one hell of an entertaining game. Credits for the same goes to none other than Albert ‘The Machine’ Pujols.

He is the man who has lived up to his nickname, especially this season. Not only did he create history this year, but also helped his team to the playoffs by clinching the 2022 National League Central Division title.
Albert Pujols pulled off a great statistic!
Sunday’s game at the Busch Stadium was the Cardinals’ final regular season home game at the stadium. Big Al, at his first at-bat at the Busch Stadium on April 9, 2001, had hit a home run.

When Pujols came for his last at-bat at Busch Stadium 21 years later, he hit another home run to mark the occasion. But October 2 was not special only because of Pujols. The day was special because of Pujols’ teammates, Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright. Also, Pujols, who turned 42 this year, and Molina, 40, have made their intentions pretty clear of retiring post this season. Therefore, it was not only Pujols but Molina’s last game as well.

Cardinals fans also got to witness a rather special moment. It happened as soon as the St. Louis Cardinals allowed all three of their star players to get off the field together. Fans also honored the trio by giving a standing ovation as they walked after the fifth inning.
Certainly, it had to make people emotional witnessing the historic moment. All three of the players have played for the Cardinals for more than a decade. For the two of them, the journey is about to end, whereas Adam’s decision over coming back next season remains undecided.
How did the fans on the socials react?

Also, what a beautiful sentence!
We move in circles, balanced all the while, on a gleaming razors edge. A perfect sphere, colliding with our fate, this story ends where it began
