Shohei Ohtani has had a historic run in 2023. The Los Angeles Angels player has been bent on breaking records left and right, hitting or pitching. Although an injury now prevents him from pitching this season, Sho-time is still a dominant hitter. And yet, the Halos fail him time and again.

After the 2023 season is over, the Japanese phenom will become the most coveted free agent that MLB has ever seen. His demand is already sky-high, with clubs formulating plans on how they can make use of his two-way talent. And yet, the team that already has him seems no better than utterly useless. They have failed Ohtani repeatedly, as a recent game once again proved.

For countless games this season, Shohei Ohtani has put on an incredible defensive as well as offensive display. And yet, the Angels wasted his efforts by not rallying hard enough, embarrassingly losing the game. The latest series against the Philadelphia Phillies, which the Halos lost yet again, had a similar outcome.

Ohtani had three hits and added two runs against the Phillies. This time, Luis Rengifo joined Sho-time in his achievements by adding two home runs, and yet, Los Angeles lost a spectacular 12-7. The Phillies’ offensive power is on fire, with Bryce Harper having one of his best seasons yet, despite having had Tommy John surgery this off-season.

Shohei Ohtani seems headed the same way, although the Angels have not confirmed anything yet. The last time the Japanese sensation had elbow surgery, he required almost two seasons to get back to pitching. This year, fans can only hope for a better outcome as they await more news.

Baseball Fans Brutally Mock ‘Fraud’ Franchise

For the last six years, the LA team has boasted Shohei Ohtani in their ranks. And for the last six years, the team has done nothing to build a roster around him so that playoffs might seem possible. The World Series is an unattainable dream that Sho-time is unlikely to achieve should he stay in Los Angeles.

Some beseeched the two-way player to leave Los Angeles in his free agency and never return.
