Whether he’s trying to inspire the next generation of chefs or just having fun – Bryce Harper is showing his unknown side as we wait for the baseball season to kick off. While we have seen Harper make amazing coffee before, it was in his comfort zone. But this time, Harper’s coffee content was different. Now the highlight of the video wasn’t really in the video itself. It was in the comments section of the Phillies’ official TikTok account. Can you guess their thoughts? They cried for the app to be saved so that they could consume more Barista Bryce content. “We gotta save the app,” the club wrote. Cute, isn’t it? That’s a sentiment we all share. So, what about the video?

Harper uses an unfamiliar commercial coffee machine and boy does he look good! He captioned the video as Blending In’ with #BaristaBryce. In the video, a customer was seen asking Bryce Harper the way to the bathroom. Not to break his barista character, he politely signaled where the bathroom was. And there was a proper climax to this content – Harper adding some ice and voila! There it was, his own Iced Vanilla Latte. While sipping from his self-made brew, Bryce seemed satisfied. Now, fans are anxious – where will we see Harper with his lattes if TikTok gets banned?

The battle over TikTok’s fate in the United States has reached a dramatic crossroads.

On Friday, the Supreme Court spent over two hours wrestling with whether the U.S. government can force TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to sell the app or face a nationwide ban—set to take effect in just days. The legal showdown comes after President Biden signed a law requiring the Chinese company to divest its ownership or risk being shut down, citing national security concerns.

TikTok, however, is pushing back, arguing that such an action violates the First Amendment, which protects free speech. If the ban goes through on January 19, it could spell the end of TikTok in the U.S. While existing users could continue to access the app, new downloads would be blocked by Apple and Google, essentially freezing TikTok’s growth. The company warns that without regular updates and support, the app would slowly deteriorate, rendering it unusable over time.

In essence, the U.S. government and TikTok agree on one thing: the app could be left to wither if this goes through, just not in the way either party envisioned. With TikTok still the dominant platform for viral dances, memes, and influencers, the stakes are high. The justices seemed poised to give the green light for the government to act, but it remains to be seen whether the app’s First Amendment arguments will hold up.
