With 27 World Championships, the New York Yankees are undoubtedly the greatest MLB franchise with the richest history. But this, they have looked everything but that. And every day is a new and rather disappointing development, which leaves the Pinstripes with a new set of developments.
Harrison Bader had just returned from the injured list. During his first at-bat itself, he was seemingly in some discomfort, but he went on to take the center field. However, his stay in center field wasn’t till the end of the game, as he collided with teammate Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the ninth inning. The collision allowed the Guardians to take a one-run lead in the ninth inning, too.

The Yankees front office is yet to release an official statement on Bader’s injury, but skipper Aaron Boone sounded positive and doesn’t expect further time for Bader on the IL. But doesn’t Boone always sound positive?

Following the game, Aaron Boone spoke about Bader’s clash positively, and said, “I think he’s going to be fine. He was in really good spirits and laughing in the training room.”
At a steady speed, fans are losing words to describe how they feel. Every day is a new disappointing story on the Yankees roster, and this in particular seemed avoidable. Naturally, fans were furious, as the Pinstripes are seemingly finding ways to reach the IL. Moreover, fans were quick to point fingers at IKF, who is palpably not the most-liked player on their roster.
This is how fans reacted:
We won but damn! We can't have this.

Boone might be the worst bullpen manager I have ever seen in my life.

So done with this.

I’ve said that the last few weeks. People play positions their entire lives to get to the show. You can’t just throw someone out there at this level. Call someone up. Send him down to get practice. That’s why you have a farm system.

This is entirely on Boone. What the heck was he thinking! Matchups and analytics be dammed, Marinaccio was dealing.

Despite all their troubles in the injured list and questionable calls on the mound, the New York Yankees managed to beat the Cleveland Guardians and end their three-series loss streak. Now, the Yanks, who stand at the bottom of the AL East table, will take on the Tampa Bay Rays, who lead the entire MLB, in an away series.

Amidst all this chaos, the New York Yankees emerge victorious
The Cleveland Guardians managed a 2-0 lead until the fifth inning when rookie Jake Bauers homered Willie Calhoun batted one run in. The scores were leveled until the ninth inning when Boone brought back Clay Holmes, who conceded a run, which was again leveled by Calhoun before Trevino, who came in to pinch hit for Kyle Higashioka, smashed a walk-off single in the tenth and the Yanks won the decider game of the home series.
Will this series victory help motivate the Pinstripes and help them conquer past the Rays? What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
