What makes a player a legend? His accolades? Statistics? Usually not. It’s their fandom that turns a player into a legend, an icon, and an all-time great. The best example is former New York Yankees captain, Derek Jeter. Anthony Rizzo has witnessed a fairly decent 2022. From the 130 games he played, the baseman concluded the regular season with 104 hits, 32 home runs, 74 RBIs, and a batting average of 0.224. However, the three-time All-Star, who won the World Championship with the Chicago Cubs in 2016, was recently involved in a verbal tiff with a fan who asked him for an autograph.
Why did Anthony Rizzo get mad at a fan?
While the Yankees await the ALDS against Cleveland Guardians, a video surfaced that involved Yankee baseman Anthony Rizzo erupting in anger at a fan and kid, who approached him for an autograph.

As clarified by multiple fans in following Twitter threads, the kid flicked Anthony Rizzo off and as a response to that, Rizzo lost his temper when he approached the car for an autograph.

Their strong start helped the Bronx Bombers maintain a strong lead in the American League East Division, but there were moments when everyone had their doubts. The Yanks also faced their worst-performing calendar month since the 1990s in August, where they lost six consecutive series. However, after winning the Subway Series, they rejuvenated, and it was like a new Yankee team was born.
Since then, it’s only been upward for the Yankees. Will they be able to bring back their ages-old postseason and world series dominance and add to their long-stagnated World Series Championships count (27)?
