Currently, the Pirates are playing a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. And during the second game of the series on Tuesday, the Pirates infielder Rodolfo Castro did something in the ballpark that even commentators could not control their laugh.

Although the Pirates lost the game to the Diamondbacks, the 23-year-old infielder became the most-talked-about topic. Notably, when the Pirates were batting, Castro took a slide in the fourth inning of the game. But what made the most noise was that when the Pirates’ infielder slid through the third base, his phone popped out of his pocket.

Notably, it is highly unlikely for any ballplayer to keep their phone by their side while playing in the ballpark. But when Castro lost his phone during a slide into the third base on Tuesday night, the video of the incident is going viral on the internet.

Taking to Twitter, Bally Sports Arizona shared the video. In the video, when Castro’s phone fell out of his pocket, the commentators said, “that’s a first.”

Per ESPN, when asked Castros about the weird incident, he said it was not intentional.?

?I don’t think there’s any professional ballplayer that would ever go out there with any intentions of taking a cellphone,” Castro said through an interpreter. ?It’s horrible it happened to me. Obviously, it was very unintentional.?

The Pirates lost the game 6-4 to the Diamondbacks. If the Diamondbacks win the third game of the series, they will win the four-game series against the Pirates, as they have already won two games against the Pirates.
