Aaron Judge has been nothing but a blessing for the New York Yankees this season. With 41 home runs from the plate, the Yankees slugger has already demolished a couple of records in the ongoing season. And he still has at least three months left in the current season.
Recently, Judge hit a couple of home runs against the Kansas City Royals, including a grand slam. Not only did he become the first player to hit 40 home runs this season, but the Yankees slugger also joined the elite company of MLB legend Babe Ruth.

With 41 home runs, Judge is on a pace to hit 66 homers in 2022. And if he does so, Judge will become the Yankees player with the most home runs in a single MLB season. When talking about his current form, the Yankees slugger has hammered eight home runs since the All-Star break.
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone could not stop praising Aaron Judge
Talking about the game, the Yankees were trailing 5-3 to the Royals. But the heroics of Aaron Judge brought the Pinstripes back into the game. This is the ninth time Judge has had a multi-homer game this season. Per ESPN, only Alex Rodriguez, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and Gleyber Torres have done it before.
Thanks to the Judge’s masterclass in the Bronx, the Yankees won the game 11-5 against the Royals. While addressing the media, the Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone was in awe of Judge’s performance.
“He is amazing. He is just doing some special things, obviously. You know, 41 (home runs), a grand slam with a cherry on top. There are just more great at-bats,” Boone said.
"He's amazing."

Yankees extend their lead at the top
Despite Aaron Judge’s remarkable performances, the Yankees did not start the second half on a firm note. They suffered a couple of series sweeps against the Houston Astros and New York Mets. But thanks to their dominant 1st half, the Aaron Boone-led team is still at the top of the MLB points table.

With 68 wins Yankees have extended their lead at the top. But they need to be careful in the coming games because, with 66 wins, the Astros are right behind them. One bad series and the Astros will claim the top spot. Only time will tell who will sit at the top of the AL by the end of this season.
